Apologies for the lack of updates, I do have an excuse this time, we just had a baby. Will try and get things back on track for the new season!
West Brom 2-3 Arsenal...
After going ahead, going behind and going ahead again, this season came down to one goal. If Keiran Gibbs hadn't have slid in perfectly in the last minute of injury time, West Brom would have equalised and we'd have dropped down to 4th place BELOW SPURS. However, he did, so haha in your face Tottenham vermin. Now thats over, we can go back to worrying about whether RVP will stay or not, and who we won't sign before the season kicks off in 90 days...
Unlucky Spurs...
Robin van Persie will now decide whether he'll stay or whether he'll go, and he knows that if he stays there will be trouble and if he goes there will be double.
Following the slim win over West Brom on Sunday, RVP picked up the golden boot, and said: "It was double important to finish third and also above Spurs. We knew what was at stake, it is just a fantastic feeling again to be ahead of Spurs. We heard that they won, but it doesn't really matter because we won our game. We are definitely in the Champions League again, and that was the main target from the match. We just had to qualify and everyone is very pleased, everyone is enjoying this moment..."
Podolski Can't Wait...
New signing Lucas Podolski can't wait to get started at The Arsenal, the German international, signed from Cologne said: "Arsenal are a great club, here in Europe and all over the world, at the time the transfer negotiations started between the two clubs, the decision was made really quickly. I'm now looking forward to the challenge at my new club and cannot wait to start after Euro 2012..."
