Fixtures Out...
Not sure quite how AFCi have managed to get a story out of it, but tomorrow is the day Spurs fans everywhere can't wait for, the day when they find out when they play us - TWICE! We're not bothered of course, but its nice to get the fixtures anyway, and find out who we play first at our new stadium, the Emirates Ashburton Grove Highbury Wengerdome. Also, Sky changeit all around anyway, so its not worth the pixels its displayed on... full story here...
38 Years, BCMA.
Freddie Ljungberg has just reminded us again that it's now 38 years since England last beat Sweden. It's now going to probably be 39, so he'll have to get his tattoo updated, as England could only draw with the repetitive Scandinavians. The score was 2-2 in last nights World Cup Group B game, meaning England top the group and will now face Ecuador on Sunday. Ashley Cole and Freddie Ljungberg played the game, and Sol Campbell came on for Rio 'World Cup Windup' Ferdinand. Theo Walcott didn't play 'cos Sven's a cnut but he might now stumpy Welsh striker Mike Owen has knee knack...
Not Bitter Lehmann...
Jens Lehmann reckons Germany have buried their demons, and are back and being taken seriously following their 3-0 win over Englands next opponents Ecuador: "The respect is back, and the tournament team myth is alive. We are quite confident and we know what we can do. We are always capable of playing at a very high level. Other teams could be more skilful or whatever, but sometimes they don't know how to perform, unlike us Germans - we know about our abilities and we want to perform at the highest level..."
Memorial Match Planned...
Arsenal and QPR are trying to arrange a special game for Kiyan Prince... more here...
Sav Truth...
According to RobbieSlater.com (think he's off EastEnders, ugly fella with the dog) it looks like we are interested in Javier Saviola according to his agent, which is a bit like me saying I am interested in Cameron Diaz. He said: "There is interest from Arsenal and various other clubs, from places such as Portugal and Spain... he wants to stay in Spain, but we'll see what happens..." They also reckon that Edgar Davids is staying at Spurs as Ajax withdrew their offer for the blind midfielder...
Other transfer rumours, we're well keen on Lilian Thuram according to Sky Sports...
More kit controversy...
Mara-Dona Keen on Fab...
Big fat, drug addled cheater Diego Maradona says he like the Fab following his colossal performance for Spain on Monday. Fabregas came on and changed the game, and Maradona said: "I hope Fabregas will always play football like that, he was spectacular against Tunisia. He gave Spain the final ball which they had been lacking in the first half and he changed the game around..." You're still a big fat cheat though.
