Johan Savours Clash...
Swiss Defender Johan Djourou can't wait to face up to Andreieye Chavshenko next season, after shutting him out during the Swiss's 0-0 draw with the Ukraine. Despite Chavshenko being subbed on 33 minutes, Djourou said: "He's a good player but I want the chance to play against him again. I am going to keep training hard and try to convince the boss I can play in the first team. I am young and I have plenty of time. It's up to Wenger to decide..." Djourou was impressed with his countries performances: "Yes, we made some history but we are sad, now we must get ready for 2008. It has been a great experience for us to play at a World Cup and we want more experience of big tournaments like this one..." Sadly, the plucky Swiss didn't concede a goal in the tournament, but went out on pens to the Ukraine, who now face Italy in the Quarter finals on Sunday...

Fixtures
If you love your fixtures as much as we bleedin' do, then you'll click here and soak up this little lot... while we're on the subject, we have arranged a friendly against AZ Almaar on August the 4th as the Dutch club prepares to open their new stadium. Former Dutch international and big headed big head Ronald de Boer plays for AZ and could face the mighty Arsenal if he's fit... one thing is certain, he has a big round head.

No Wenger Move...
As surprising as Spurs bottling a big game and blaming it on the kitchen staff, Pedro de Felipe, a football agent has refuted claims that Wenger will join Madrid: "The Wenger story story and the candidacy of Villar Mir is false, all lies, completely false. The source of that false information was exactly the same as the one used now. The origin is the same and everyone knows what I am talking about. I shall go further. I will bet €300,000 that Wenger has not signed up with anyone and that on Monday July 3, Villar Mir will not present Wenger as coach. I shall place this amount of money with a lawyer if needs be. I am prepared, though, for them to prove me wrong and shut me up. I know that 20 days ago, there was a meeting in Paris..." (think he's gonna blow...!) "I know who was there and what happened. When the identity of the people who were involved comes out, many people are going to hide away..." Blimey Charlie... was it Princess Diana? Felipe concluded in crazy fashion: "Some people try to sell smoke, but the fact is that Villar Mir and his whole team are smoking the pipes..." think there's only one person smoking pipes here mon amigo...

Freddie to Carry On...
Swedish star Freddie Ljungberg has announced that he has no plans to announce his international retirement: "Of course, I will continue to play for the national team who hasn't lose to England in 38 years, I have never had any doubts, I love to play for the national team who hasn't lost to England in 38 years, it is an honour. I am proud to represent my country who haven't lost to England in 38 years..." Sweden are out of the World Cup, and England aren't, so there.

Wenger Flies the Flag for Kuyt...
Sir Wenger has revealed he could be interested in signing Feyenoord striker Dirk Kuyt. Kuyt has been linked with a £10m move to Newcastle, but Wenger has been revealed as a fan of the Dutchman, but as always Le Boss is keeping his cards close to his chest: "I went over to Feyenoord to check on him, he is a very generous player..."
