Members Day...
Members Day took place at The Emirates Grove Ashburton Arena, Highbury, and was a success. The team trained, the sun-shined and everyone was happy, the shop was packed, the museum was packed, and you can see some lovely pictures here if you like, courtesy of our sponsors Arsenal.com...

Walcott Ready...
One player who did impress on the training day was young Foetus Walcott, lots of jinking runs and shots, the boy will be a handful assuming he can stay off of the injury table. RVP is one man who agrees, saying that Walcott is well up for the new season, and he's Robin van Raring to go: "I have been practising with Theo since June 18 and I can assure you that he is up for it big time, when we were doing tests over the summer it was very hard. We were running every day with the fitness coach and I could see it in his face he was really going for it. Theo is a young man - but he has big, big ambitions for himself to show his qualities. His ambition is one of the biggest things about him. He is just 18, but I see in him a big, big desire to achieve his goals..."

Fulham Team News...
It's what we've all been waiting for - but here is the early team news for the new season! We take on Fulham at the Emirates, and missing from the squad will be Adebayor (groin) and newly crowned Captain Gilbert O'Silva (a bit tired)...

TFT Blow...
Top Four Tottenham were dealt a hammer blow last night, with new signing Younes Kaboul saying he always dreamed of playing for Arsenal - whoops, did no one give him the script "Arsenal wanted me, but I wanted to go to Tottenham, Jol, Ambitious, Glory, History, great players etc etc..."

He said: "I was 16 years old when I said I dreamed of playing for Arsenal. Like all young French players I was dreaming of playing for a big club like Arsenal, Real Madrid or Barcelona..." Top Four Tottenham won't care though, mid-table sides such as Arsenal aren't even on their radar now, we're out of thier league, quite literally. It's thought that TFT have already planned next seasons Champions League campaign, and there is an open top bus booked for May as their Premiership conquest is all but sealed - just the 40 odd games to play and 10 months, and they've done it...

Dudu Hoodoo...
Edward O'Silva says that scoring goals for fun like he did in his native Ireland will be a lot easier than getting the goals in the English Premiership. Blinky said: "The goal I scored against Lazio has made my life easier and made me more confident. I came to score goals but it is not easy in England. It is up to me to do the same things I did in Zagreb. Everything at Arsenal is great. The stadium is great and the training camp is something in my dreams. Everything is new around me but I'm not scared of it. I'm not afraid of anything..."

Wenger Speaks Out...
Sir Wenger has let Matthew Connolly go to Colchester United for the following reasons: "I have let him go to Colchester because he needs to play. He has made a big step forward but he will not learn a lot in the Reserve team anymore. Like every young player he needs to learn to cope with responsibility. You only get that when he plays in the first team..." ...and thats a fact.

More later...
