Wenger Slams Cheat - Sort Of...
In light of the diving row following our last gasp win over Fulham, Sir Wenger has hit back at Fulhams players, well he hasn't, but the papers are saying that he has. Wenger has accused ex-World Snooker Champion Steve Davis of simulation: "I tried to look as objectively as I could at the tape, and I could not see anything, I saw only one real dive - it was not an Arsenal player, it was Steve Davis. We did not get a penalty for the challenge on Hleb - all the media saw it was a penalty. Sometimes your job is when you are attacked in the right way, it is to put something right. There was only one guy who tricked and that was Davis..." Interesting.

No Bid for Pedersen...
Sparky Marky Hughes has admtted there has been no bid for Schmorgasboard Pedersen and even if there had, he'd not listen to it, and he weren't even there no nuffin. The Norwegian International was supposedly at the centre of an £8m bid from Sir Wenger, but Rovers Manager Hughes said: "He isn't going anywhere and particularly not for £8m considering the price of players now. We've heard nothing from Arsenal and, in the week leading up to the game, possibly someone has been a little bit naughty. It isn't based on any fact. We're not interested in selling Pedersen..." Wenger has also denied making a bid for the player...

Team News...
Nothing has changed for the game tonight, but Sir Wenger has confirmed the team here, and has said: "We have left behind Emmanuel Adebayor, Abou Diaby, Denilson, Gilberto and Eduardo. All three of Eduardo, Denilson and Diaby have small ankle problems but big enough for them not to play tomorrow. Adebayor is still a few days short and Gilberto is not fit enough yet...!

Wenger Explains...
Sir Wenger has been busy today, and has also tried to explain his decision behind choosing Bill Gallas over Gilbert O'Silva for the Captain. "There is no special risk, “I think it is an important position but it is not as important as the team spirit. You do not have to overemphasise the importance of the captaincy. What is important is that he does what he has to do and not more. It makes it easier if you play in a certain position and have a certain experience in the game. But I was captain and I know what you can and cannot do..."

It was reported that O'Silva had read about the appointment of our Captain on ArsenalShorts, but Wenger had an excuse ready: “I respect Gilberto a lot, he was not in the group last week, and that is why what happened happened. I had a face-to-face meeting with him and told him what I wanted to tell him. I have nothing more to say about that really. I cannot justify every small decision and explain it to everybody. Things have to stay inside, but when I make a decision I stand up for it. I do not consider whether people are surprised or not. You make decisions because you just want to make the right one..." Well said Le Boss.

Premiership Round Up...
In last nights Premiership action, Spurs are still breathing down the necks of both manchester united and their other Championship rivals, just a point behind still as the season draws to an opening. They lost at home to Everton, which I am sure is part of Roy Kinnear's masterplan to lull everyone into a false sense of security, it's just a mystery - they have spent a fortune, but aren't being successful - it seems to work for so many other clubs. Everton ran out 3-1 winners last night at White Hart Lane which means them New Kids on the Premiership Challenging Block The Spurs have already lost twice as many games this season that we did in seasons' 1991 and 2004 put together but still remain CERTAIN of a top four finish and Champions League qualification...

More later people... don't forget to check out FrankTV, Big Frank Lampard's forage into the world of TV... and without even a proper mention of his affair, restrained or what?
