One Step Closer...
The boys are one step closer to Champions League qualification in our last season in the competition for a while, ahead of Spurs automatic qualification next season. In the Premiership, Top Four Tottenham moved a step closer to fourth spot as, due to losing, Bolton's goal difference is now almost the same as Spurs, meaning they almost went up a place - one more goal and Spurs would have. That's progress for TFT who find themsleves just two points behind Champions man united.
Anyway, onto more mundane matters, and a superb job done performance by the lads away at Prague last night saw us put one foot into this terms Champions League, goals from The Cesc and a last minute goal from Hleb saw us take a 2-0 lead back to the Emirates in two weeks time. Fabregas was immense with a goal line clearance, a goal and a challenge which saw hard man Tomas Repka substituted.

Man City the New Arsenal...
With Sven at the helm, Manchester City are the new Arsenal according to City player Stephen Ireland. The Irishman (what are the chances?) said: "We are a flair kind of team now, we have a lot of attacking players, a lot of Brazilians and perhaps we can become like an Arsenal. At times last year I was afraid to express myself but the way the manager speaks to you man to man is excellent, he's a good team talker and everyone responds to him..."
Celts Keeper to Sign...?
Speculation last night that failure to qualify for the Champions League could see Celts keeper moving to the Emirate Highbury Grove Arena Ashburton. Celtic drew 1-1 away at Spartak Moscow and Artur Borac wasn't playing amid talk of him being left out to avoid being cup tied for his new suitors...
Still Game...
F1 Chief Executive Bernie Ecclescake still wants to take over Arsenal, but his evil plans have taken a twist with this comment: "I am still very interested. If I could buy Arsenal I would, but I would want control..." Mu-hah-hah! he added, probably.
Tribal Football Special...
According to several reports, both us and man united are keen on Toulouse midfielder Moussa Sissoko. Apparently, we both had scouts at Liverpools Champions League Qualifying round wth Toulouse watching the 17 year old protegee (whatever that means...)
More later, you plum.
