Gratuitous image of Willie Rushton. He's dead.Rings a Bell...
We are said the leading the pack for the signature of yet another wonder kid, Franco Di Santo. He apparently plays in Chile for Audax Italiano and is also being watched by the Premierships big two, Chelsea and Top Four Tottenham...

...and Again...
We are also said to be watching the ‘new Samuel Eto’o’ Bordeaux striker Henri Saivet. As are Chelsea, as are Top Four Tottenham... Zzz...

Got What It Takes...
Gael Clichy reckons we have got what it takes to deal with the rough stuff this season, after a bruising encounter in Prague on Wednesday night. Goals from the Cesc and Alexander Hleb saw us run out 2-0 winners and put one foot into next season Champions League group stages, but the game, as usual, wasn't without controversy or double negatives.

Ex-West Ham defender Tomas Repka and his team mates were all over our players like a pack of Chinese Monkeys, but Clichy said: "Maybe they think this is the way to play against Arsenal. We have to show that we are not the same team as before and are ready for the challenge. Everything is about mentality and we believe we have the quality in our football. Every weekend, we play against a side like this in England. This season, we believe we have the football quality and the physical quality..."

French Selection...
William Galls, Abu Dhabi, and new boy Bacary Sagna have been named in the French International squad to face Slovakia and Slovakia 'A' next week. Partrick Vieira and Nicolas Anelka are also in the squad for the trip. It's thought that Vic Akers has also been approached for selection, but has turned down the offer for two reasons, one) he's English, and B) he's busy with the Arsenal kits 'they don't wash themselves, you know?' he screamed...

Milan Inter Nick...
Inter Milan are said to be tracking the progress of 11 foot 9 inch Nicklas Bentdner. The Great Dane has been stirring up interest with a decent performance against Fulham last weekend, and its thought that a bid could be imminent from the Italians, despite the Dane recently sgning a five year deal to stay at The Emirates Grove...

Team News...
Denis Neilsen and Edward O'Silva are set for a return to the squad for the away game at Blackburn on Sunday. Dudu missed our clash with Sparta Prague in midweek due to a groin problem, but returns to face Blackburn. Emanuel Eboue could miss the game though according to Sir Wenger: "From last night (Weds) we might have a little problem with Eboue, who is struggling a bit..." Kit man Vic Akers is hoping to shake off a Spin Dryer injury to face the Rovers...

Fab-tastic...
Cesc 'The Cesc' Fabregas has said that he, and the other Arsenal players are ready for a scrap this coming season, confrming what Gael Clichy said in our first amazing article of the day. Fabregas scored a goal, pulled off a Bobby Moore style tackle, and also took Tomas Repka out of the game with a hefty challenge, underlining that we are no pushovers like some people said last season: "I did not [imitate his limp], he started insulting me. How? Words. Czech words. I didn't understand. Maybe Tomas [Rosicky] can translate..." On the challenge that took out Repka, The Cesc said: "I thought I could win the ball, maybe I was a bit late, but, you know, he did the same thing before but, of course, I am sorry..."

Tribal Football Classic:
"Juventus have approached Arsenal about the availability of midfielder Gilberto Silva. The Times says Gilberto was disappointed with the way in which he learnt that he would not be the new Arsenal captain. He will not be allowed to go..." End of Tribal Football Classic. Willie Rushton was unavailable for comment.

More later... (probably not...)
