Transfer Talk...
Sir Wenger is finding it hard to find the right players to bring in ahead of the rapidly closing transfer window. Most Arsenal fans, while happy with the squad fear we don't have the depth that our Championship rivals possess, man united, Chelsea and Spurs, to name but two. He said: "I still feel I will do something if it comes up, but at the moment frankly, I am nowhere, I have not found anybody. Either they do not exist, or if you go into the market and want to buy someone tomorrow it will be at a very high price..."

Crisis Talks...
Not sure if these are just rumours, probably are, but some websites claim that Gilbert O'Silva is after talks with Sir Wenger after discovering he isn't Club Captain via ArsenalShorts.com O'Silva has used the great parent line to make Sir Wenger feel super guilty, claiming 'I'm not upset, just disappointed...' meanwhile, Juventus wait patiently in the wings for any developments...

Palacios Move?
Following the hilarious interflap rumours that we'd signed that Palacio fella, amazing we might now be signing his namesake (sort of) Honduran Wilson Palacios, a 23-year-old winger. Palacios, currently with Deportive Olimpia in Honduras (it says here) could be after a £2m move, and his Dad (yawn...) said: "He called us Monday afternoon, which alleviated our concerns, but it’s good news. He passed the medical examinations well. He’s already been in London five days, and if he’s made the right impression, he will remain there. We haven’t yet discussed the economic aspects - they are not important to us - what matters is that my son remains playing in England..."

Gallas on le Mend...?
French coach Raymondo Dominatrix has said he wants William Gallas rushed back in time for some further Euro 2008 qualifiers in September. Gallas is rumoured to be out for anything up to 3 months, but Dommo wants him back quick smart and wants to talk to Sir Wenger to discuss: "William is as pessimistic as we are, anyway, we will do anything to get him back. He wants to stay ten days at Clairefontaine for intensive treatments. I hope Arsenal will agree. That would be perfect for the player in such a situation..."

Friar Tucks In Nicely...
Sir Wenger is more than happy with Ken Friar in the role of Director of Football, the Frenchman said: "At the moment Ken Friar does this job and he does it very well. I have known him since I have been here and, as long as he does that, we will not change now. We might look to employ somebody still but not necessarily someone to be involved in the deals for the transfers..." It's also thought that Sir Wenger could be on the brink of signing a new deal to keep him at The Emirates for another three years...

...and Finally... Paul Robinson, Martin Jol, Danel Levy.
