Happy July reader(s), ArsenalShorts hunch, this week, Sir Wenger will announce three super-signings, and that he's signed a new deal... not FACT, just a hunch... hope he had a nice holiday, thats the main thing imo...

Double D Back...?
David Dein is apparently holding out for a sensational move back to Ashburton, according to the Sunday Telegraph on Sunday. He has been offered various roles in the UK and across Europe, but a 'former friend' of DD is quoted as saying: "I know that he has been given the chance to buy up to five different clubs, both English and foreign, many of which have since been sold. I would be very surprised if he doesn't come back somehow within the Arsenal organisation in the future. It makes sense, with the shares he has, to somehow gain control, or part control..."

Another Striker Light...
Arturo Lupolihas officially left Arsenal for Serie A side Fiorentina with Arsenal.com underlining their transfer announcement policy in the process in a statement: "Everyone at Arsenal would like to thank Arturo for his contribution to the club and wish him the best of luck during for the future. Arsenal supporters may have seen this transfer being announced in the media for some time. However, Arsenal.com would like to reiterate that Arsenal Football Club only communicates transfers when they are completed..."

New link on the video page, check it out, we scored 7 (seven)...

Real Deal for Reyes...
Real Madrid might actually want Jose Antonio Reyes after all its been announced. The Spaniards want to keep Reyes after his two late goals won them La Liga in the final game of the season in that there Spain. Real's sporting director Predrag Mijatovic has revealed they have offered £6m for Reyes, which is apparently half of what was agreed when he initially went on loan: "We will negotiate for Reyes again, we will talk this over with Arsenal and negotiate a lower fee..." Sky Sports reckon we are holding out for closer to £10m...

Drog Breath...
Diving, cheating, rooting tooting Didier Drogba has said we are no longer a title threat, and the Premiership is now a two-horse race following the sale of Jeremie Aliadiere to Middlesbrough. "The exit of Aliadiere to Middlesbrough is good news for us - it means that there is one less rival in Chelsea's way, and Arsenal have a serious problem because his absence is a very complicated issue to resolve. For us this one rare change means it will be Chelsea and United fighting for the Premiership again..."

Patience Please...
Theo Walcott has urged us Arsenal fans to be patient next season as our young squad regroups and gets used to the departure of several key strikers, including Jeremie Adiadiere, Arturo Lupoli and Jose Antonio Reyes: “I know I’m quite a high-profile player but I’m just 18, so all I want to do is work hard and try to get more starts for the first team, I want to get 10 goals next season and I would like to make 20 or 25 starts. Basically I want to improve every year. We (RVP) train with each other every day, so we are only going to get better..." Its claimed that Walcott and Van Persie have returned to training two weeks before the rest of the squad...

Tevez...
Several papers this weekend claiming that Sir Wenger will go head to head with Sir Alice Ferguson for the signature of Stig of the Dump, Carlos Tevez. It's thought manchester united are keen to make Tevezz the latest addition to their 'not looking so bad' side, but Arsene Wenger also has his sights set on the player whose heart it's claimed 'belongs to the Premier League' unlike the rest of him which belongs to some Malaysian business consortium...

Links...
Other links which just won't go away this weekend, include Samuel Eto'o'o and Nicolas Anelk'a'a... and finally, one link we don't want to go away is this one... Liam Brady's derby wondergoal, before wondergoals where even invented...
