Sorry Like...
Apologies this morning to anyone who was sucked in by the Angel Di Maria rumours which began on ArsenalShorts. Unfortunately they were begun before the Palacio one, and ended after the Palacio one which made everything look worse than it was. If it had been picked up before that, we're guessing it wouldn't have been so bad, but hey, you live by the sword and all that stuff.

Any road, we're not sorry for all the lazy journalists, however we are truly sorry for any proper Arsenal fans mislead by the rumour, we know what its like to get all excited about new players coming. It's not going to happen again on our part, I had enough abuse last week to make me feel like a Spurs fan, so we won't be doing that again, not a nice feeling, it has made me questions whether it's even worth doing ArsenalShorts any more. However, for now, in the words of Father Jack Hackett: "We're soooooooo so sorry..."

This, for me, is how it should have been dealt with. Thanks ArsenalVsion, nicely done. End of story.

Cockney Fred...
Looks like the Swedish Camp will be heading South of the river Guv, to join them cheeky, chirpy, Hammers. It's rumoured this weekend that Freddie has joined West Ham on a £60k a week deal...

More Takeover Titbits...
According to some proper reports, like The Times, and Football365, Double D and Bernie Ecclescake are in cahoots and are about to take over Arsenal, dumping out anyone who doesn't go along with their evil plan. There are still rumours that Jimmy Krankie could be taking over, but who knows, stuff like this is cloak and dagger stuff, and we have neither, and wouldn't like to even guess what happens next. There's lot of talk about shares being sold, and takeovers being blocked, lets just hope we still have our Arsenal at the end of it, and not someone's hobby/point to prove...

Ghana-Nah-man...
Stephen 'Couldn't Be' Appiah is set to join West Ham, but according to the NOTW will hold out for a move to the Ashburton Emirates Highbury Grove Arena...

Wor Bappy / Julio Geordio...
Julio Baptista could be on his way to Newcastle, with Sam Allardyce trying to bring in the player so he's not the fattest employee of the club it's believed.

He is quoted in the Sunday Mirror as saying: "I believe I showed at Arsenal last season that I can play in England, score goals and make goals. Newcastle is a big club, but before I consider a move I need to know about my future with Real. I want the chance in pre-season to show our new coach, Bernd Schuster, I should be part of his plans. If things don't work out here I will have to look at other options in Spain and England..."

More later...
