Title Charge Gathers Pace...
One of our ArsenalShorts close associates has worked out, that as per usual we’re all getting a bit premature, and we are still going to win the league, so don’t give up just yet. You might even get odds of 750 or 1000/1 so get a couple of quid on imo!  It goes like this: Chelsea v Man U is a draw on Sunday, then we beat Derby on Monday night by a hatful. No one notices us coming up on the rails...

Then, next week (stick with us...) Man U get the wobbles after a tricky defeat by Thierry Henry's late winner in the CL, and lose to West Ham at OT like they did last year as part of the Tevez deal. Chelsea lose away to Newcastle (not that unlikely without Fat Frank), while we spank Everton at home, goal difference improving all the time. Then, last game, Man U have to go to Wigan away, on their dodgy pitch, pressure is on, and they bottle it again, Heskey with a late winner a la Stamford Bridge. Chelsea win against Bolton but its not enough as we beat Sunderland and there it is, we’re Champions!

It needs everything we got, so all of us have to beleive 100%, so get on board the Emirates Express... maybe... just maybe...?

Hleb Hunted...
Alexander Hleb is defnitley being looked at by Inter, a quote in that funny Italian football paper said: "We have already spoken about the players we would like to sign. We are interested in Hleb, Inler and Konko..." Done deal.

Toure De Force...
Kolo Toure has said that he'd be proud to take over the Captains armband, as rumours of the end as William Gallas' reign as skipper are bandied about. Kolo Toure said: “I would be really, really proud to be captain, but it is not my first focus because for me I feel like a captain on the pitch. I am one of the oldest players in the squad now so naturally I feel like a captain and it doesn’t matter if I have the armband or not. It is a decision for the manager and he is the only one who can take it. Gallas was really good for us at the start of the season, but then after this Birmingham game he made a mistake, he knows that, and we all tried to bring him back to the team and he came back well. But when you make a mistake it is difficult after that - it was a really important part of our season..." Toure is currently starring as Gus in EastEnders, but will turn his attentions back to football on Monday when we face Derby at The Emirates...

Eduardo Goes Brazilian...
Its being reported that Eduardo has moved to Rio de Janiero as part of his recovery. There is also reports that he could be back in training as early as August... watch this space... His cousin, and agent is quoted as saying: “Eduardo is very happy..."

Henry Happy...
Thierry Henry has confirmed that he's happy at Barcelona, but if he did come back to England, it would only be to play for us: "I'm happy - I don't regret leaving Arsenal, but there's only one team in England for me. Everybody knows the love and affection I have for Arsenal. I was so into it, I became a fan..." He added: "People who know me will tell you, I'm the same in training, I'm the same in life - I cannot act. If I'm not happy, I'm not happy. I'm happy here at Barcelona. I still have three years of my contract left with Barcelona..."

Then he added, whimsically, with his fluttery eyelashes: "There has been since I arrived here a lot of speculation from day one but, hey, go back where? There's only one team for me in my heart. It took me a while to understand what that club, Arsenal, meant. I don't regret stuff in my life. Stuff happens for a reason. You don't regret stuff that you thought about. I don't regret it..."
