Celebrate Good Times... Differently.
Sir Wenger has asked Emanual Adebayor to find a new celebration when he scores a goal, as the customary sliding on his knees thing could cause the Togolesian a knee injury. Wenger remembers Patrick Vieira's goal against man united with fondness against, but warns Ade: "Patrick Vieira celebrated a goal in the same way but it backfired and he was injured for five weeks in 1997..."

Other memorable celebrations:
Tottenham - release a DVD, mug and commemorative shirt emblazoned with 'we scored a goal'.
Rio Ferdinand - scored a goal, missed a drug test, said he'd been shopping and got away with it.
Alan Shearer - sticks his hands up in the air, and runs away.
Ashley Cole - scores a goal, has unprotected ... best leave that one

Pearce: Wenger Knows Best...
England U21 manager and part time retired psychopath Stuart Pearce has backed up Sir Wenger (not sexually) and thnks that loaning out his youngsters is the way forward and can only do them good. Pearce sad:

"Without a doubt it going on loan helps, it all adds to their experience. If they're not playing at their individual clubs, maybe that might be a route they take. I think the main driver they need is to get in there and play first team football as much as they possibly can. That applies to anybody but there's one man who will know what's best for Theo and that's Arsene. It's in his interest to make sure that he's got a fantastic young player, who is extremely young at this moment in time, that's got good experience - bear in mind he's been to a World Cup..."

Girls on Top...
The Arsenal Ladies beat Blackburn 3-1 to climb to the top of the Ladies Premier League for the first time this season. They had an incredible SEVEN games in hand on the leaders in an unprecedented fixture pile up due to International matches, and have struggled to keep up, but remain unbeaten. Goals from captain Faye White, Julie Fleeting and Kelly Smith saw us back where we belong...

Alex Eyed...
Barcelona have said they are interested in signing Alexander Hleb according to sources who have made stuff up. The Daily Mirror report a 'Barcelona source' as saying: "Hleb is an interesting player who we have watched many times, but any new signings will be for the end of the season..." Another cut and dried done deal then, good luck Alex...

Jens Number One Again?
No, he's not released another hit parade topping comedy single with his Oom-Pah band, Jens and the Lehderhosens, but Jens wants his number one shirt back, and will do what it takes to get it, i.e. get it. Lehmann came back to replace Manuel Almunia against Man City, and siad: "I like the club, I like how we play, I like the fans and the team and I feel I can still win something with Arsenal, why should I give up? There is still a chance of becoming No1 again. At this stage of the season the pressure is increasing and I know that experience will be very important later on..."

However, Oliver Kahn has been quick to put the kybosh (see what I did?) on his optimism: "In the past it would have been unthinkable for a Germany goalkeeper to be second choice at his club, this is a problem and Jens knows that. This is really dangerous..."

On the Mark...
Young Mullet Sporter of the Year Mark Randall has said that it was Burnley's sterling performance in last month's FA Cup that won his and Arsenal's heart for a loan move. Randall said: "Burnley gave us a good game and showed they are a good team, I think that's why Arsenal recommended I came to Burnley as they play a similar style of football. They like to get the ball down and play. I definitely wanted to come out on loan because playing too much in the reserves is not good, especially in the English league. I don't think the reserve set-up is strong enough for the players..." Randall has already played for the super Clarets, helping his new side to a 2-1 defeat by West Brom...
