Talking out of Their Sphinx...
The Daily Mail continue to astound and inspire its readers with the news that Sir Wenger is to pay in excess of £15m for 36 year old goalkeeper Essam El Hadary. Sir Wenger has a reputation for splashing money around on a whim in the middle of the season, and Hadary would fit the bill of Wengers type of player, a mad cap goalie from Africa. Also, being 36, Wenger would definitely offer him a long term contract, another one of Le Boss's trademark moves, I'm ten million per cent sure.

Oh, and they even have a quote too: "Drogba asked me if I would accept an offer to play in Europe, and I said that I am ready to go if my club accepted..." Not only that, but an 'Egyptian sports analyst' added: "I had information about Arsenal's interest in El Hadary from internal club sources, and the offer for him should arrive soon..."

Quote off the Day...
From good old Myles Palmer: "...maybe we should re-think in terms of Future Shock, realise that the future has already happened..." Rock on, Myles.

Excuses Excuses...
Mental headcase Petr Cech reckons we had an unfair advantage last week because of the latest round of International friendlies. Despite his Chelsea side floundering in mid-table, some eight points behind us, he said: "It is hard coming back from internationals for a Premier League game because you have to travel and we have had a lot of games. Arsenal have one day extra which is better but they have a lot of internationals also..." What about the other six points and the fact that we played first last weekend and still won? Nice hat.

Wenger to Barca...
Them there papers reckon Sir Wenger could be a target for Barcelona this summer, and Arsenal might be prepared to cash in. Yawn.

His Name Is Rio, and He's Forgotten His Drug Test...
Drug cheat, turtle impersonator Rio Ferdinand reckons that man united will be focused and ready to do battle at Old Trafford in the FA Cup this weekend.

man united flopped to a 2-1 derby defeat last weekend to their rivals Man City but Rio said: "We didn't do any of the things that have taken us into a good position in the league and made us a threatening, compact team (like win?) It was a very bad weekend. We've all been thinking about the reasons why it happened and how we want to pull ourselves together and get the result out of our minds. The best thing you can do is to come into training and just get focused on winning the next game, and that's what we're doing..."
