Birmingham 2 - 2 Arsenal...
The game was overshadowed by the injury to Eduardo after just 3 minutes during Saturday's game at St. Andrews. Eduardo was stretchered straight to hospital after a horror challenge by Birmingham's Martin Taylor and will not play for the rest of the season, and probably miss the European Championships, the competition he almost single handedly qualified his country for. The game itself ended 2-2 after Theo scored two proper goals, and then some calamatious defending by Gael Clichy, some 4 minutes into injury time. Clichy was caught out and ended up conceding a penalty, with the home side duly despatched for an ill deserved point with the last kick of the game.

The result leaves us three points clear at the top of the Premiership, with a mountain to climb to get us back to winning ways. man united beat Newcastle 5-1 to close the gap...

Larsson Mouths Off...
Not the result of yet another horror tackle by Martin Taylor - Sebastian Larsson has called Sir Wenger idiotic and childish following Sir Wenger's comments on the attack on Eduardo, he said: "It's idiotic and childish for Wenger to say things like that. Of course it's horrible to see, but everybody who knows Martin would also know he would never hurt anybody on purpose and for Wenger to say things like that just prove he is a sore loser. Then again, his whole team were the same. Arsenal were in a bad mood all game. They were very unsportsmanlike..." i wonder why?

Believe it When We See It...
Brazilian Kaka has a bruised knee ahead of next weeks Champions League clash with AC Milan next week at the San Siro. Following a rare 0-0 draw last week with the Italians, we head to the San Siro next week, but despite the injury Kaka hopes to be fit for the game...

Win It for Eduardo...
Mathieu Flamini has admitted the squad wants to win the league for Eduardo. An in-form Flamini has said: "We wanted to win the title before but now we want to win it also for him, he is not going to be with us for a long time, so of course we want to win it for him. We are still three points clear at the top but the way we have only drawn is going to be disappointing because there was an opportunity to win this game. We came back, we showed great character and I think that was the only positive thing from the game..."

"Yes, of course, it was difficult to get over in the game. He is a friend before he is a partner in the team. It upsets you but we're not going to say we conceded the goal because of that. We all said in the dressing room at half-time that we had to react. We want to win the title and we wanted to win this game. We came back we scored the first one very quickly and the second just behind. I think we should have killed the game. So, yes, we were very disappointed because it is a bad result for us, and especially when we conceded the goal 30 seconds before the end of the game. It is clear there was no penalty. We checked on the video so it is very frustrating. But I really don't think we deserved this result..."

Keeper Tracked...
Argentinaean keeper Willy Caballero is being watched by Arsenal scouts according to reports. The South American Samba shot stopper was apparently watched while last weekend and admitted: "I'm flattered, the truth is that it's always pleasing when there are stories like this. It helps motivate you to keep continuing doing well with your work. For me, it was a great surprise but it was maybe the best match of my career, but I have not spoken with anyone and my future remains with Elche..."

Inevitable RVP To Return Story...
One Arsenal site reckons RVP could be back in training this week...

Official Comment...
The club had the following to say on Eduardo's injury: " The Club can confirm that following the incident during Saturday’s match at Birmingham City, Eduardo has fractured his left fibula and sustained an open dislocation of his ankle joint in the same leg. He was immediately taken to Selly Oak Hospital in Birmingham where he underwent surgery on Saturday evening. The operation was successful and Eduardo was transferred to a London-based hospital on Sunday afternoon..."

It was 'revealed' that it was only quick thinking by Gary Lewin and his medical staff that saved Eduardo from having his foot AMPUTATED after the game on Saturday...

...and Finally...
In other news, Juande Ramos took Martin Jol's side all the way to the League Cup final and ended up coming up smelling of trumps after beating Larry Grayson's Chelsea at Wembley over the weekend on a weekend the footballing Gods decided to have a week off.

Celebrity 'fan' and ex-League FA Cup winning legend Paul Gascoigne is said to have 'gone mental' after the final whistle and was looking forward to taking out his three battery operaed parrots out for a celebratory rugby ball and celebratory thermometer. There is, naturally, an open topped Variety Sunshine Coach parade planned this week around the streets of Middlesex as the Spurs revolution gathers pace - 2 cups in as many decades is hard to ignore, and even the most hardended Arsenal fans will be worrying about the gap closing between he North London giants and Spurs.

Arsenal's league position was dealt yet another blow this weekend, with just a point from our away game at Birmingham, while Spurs didn't play meaning they are just 32 points off the lead now, aiming towards an unprecendeted League and League Cup trebble with the UEFA Cup also firmly in their sights...
