Striker Light...
With the Villa clash fast approaching, Sir Wenger has a choice to make in the striker department. Theo Walcott is ready to be called into goalscoring action: "I just have to improve with every game and time will tell if I can fill the striker's role. After all, the boss picks the team so when I do play I will just do my best. The goals last weekend helped and they gave me a boost so hopefully I can take that into Saturday."
Le Boss reiterated that RVP will not be rushed back, despite rumours to the contrary, though he is getting closer to a return: "We will not rush Robin van Persie back but the news is quite good, it is very difficult to say when he will be back in the side. We go step by step. But he should come back into normal training, very, very quickly now. Maybe I am being a little over-cautious in my statements but I do not want to put any special pressure on him, but the fact that Eduardo is out is one more reason to get him back. Also he deserves that championship as well and that is another reason - to do it for him..."
Abu Dhabi should be back for the Villa match, bur our list of absentees is still: Song (knee), Rosicky (hair), Toure (canonball) Djourou (Toblerone), Van Persie (zimmer) and Emmanuel Eboue remains suspended...
On Toure's return for Milan, Sir W said: "We don't know about Kolo. It looks a little bit early but you never know."
Ladies Lose Shocker...!
Link here to the Ladies League Cup Final report... they only went and lost...
Good job its only the League Cup that no one cares about any more, and only Mickey Mouse mid-table teams bother with, and no one ever plays their first teams, apart from sides who have nothing else to play for, that are (say) just in the UEFA Cup, and know they'll be out of the FA Cup 'cos they're shit, and have no chance of winning the League cos they're shit, despite (say) spending £80m on players last summer and haven't won the league for like 56 years, and even then have only won it twice despite claiming to be a big club, and who's Captain would probably cry in a desperate embarrassing fashion type style if they did win it and they all said that we'd be relegated without Thierr--- ahem. Yeah, the ladies lost 1-0.

According to reports Alisher Usmanov has denied he will be making a bid to take over Arsenal. In a statement issued by his company Red and White Holdings, Usmanov and his accomplice Double D boy said: "Red and White is pleased to confirm its previous statement that it has no current intention to make an offer for Arsenal Holdings Plc and is committing to this position for a further six months. Red and White has the necessary funding to increase its stake further..." just in case you were wondering like...

Eye On the Ball...
Aston Villa boss Martin O'Neill has said that we won't be taking our eye off the ball this weekend as his side visit the Emirates, despite us facing AC Milan away next week in the Champions League: “They’ve got the squad to cope with it, despite the horrific injury to Eduardo, as they well know, they get suspensions and injuries during the season and they have a squad capable of dealing with it. So I don’t see it as being a major problem. The truth is I’d love to say they’d take their eye off the ball, but it’s simply not there. I think they’ve been able for quite a few seasons now to focus. It’s not that difficult for them to shift focus from League to Champions League games. They’ve been doing it that so often it’s becoming second nature..."
