The ArsenalShorts Manifesto...
Throught the last few weeks months, you may have noticed ArsenalShorts has taken it's foot off the gas somewhat in terms of updating the site, keeping you informed on all the latest news/results/links etc. Not so much taken our foot off the gas, but more like taken our foot off the gas, got out of the car and f*cked off somewhere else. Well, as we come into 2008, its the season for resolutions, such as joining a gym for 3 weeks before you give up, gving up drinking until at least lunchtime and stopping doing those terrible things to the homeless...

Any road, we tigress - what this means to you both as loyal readers is, we're going to lay our gauntlet on the table, with our cards, and our souls (hee hee) and make you an ArsenalShorts promise, well ten(ish) of the little buggers actually, which are as follows:

1. More Updates
Fully aware that when we keep the site updated, our hit count goes up quicker that Rio's blood pressure when he goes past a Police Station in his soft top Bedford Rascal, so in order to maintain a good base of punters, which in turn could effectively produce more feedback and content, we are going to try and keep the site updated on a regular basis, if not 5 times a week, then something close. PROMISE.

2. No More Bogus Player Links
Though this was amusing the first time, i.e. the Dream Team non-existent player coming to Arsenal, the second time seemed to whip up a bit of a hate campaign against the lowly, unfashionable ArsenalShorts, bless us.

This was largely due to timing, i.e straight after another site did one, so no more of that will be going on. If we say we are linked to a player is becuase we copied the story from someone else, all honestly and in good faith. PROMISE.

3. More Content
To add even more some value to our fine site, there will be some more content over the coming weeks. This may or may not include in depth match reports from our crack team of roving reporters (not sure if thats quite true at this point) and more daily content including keeping the video page up to date, more links, pictures etc. PROMISE.

4. More Input from Our Loyal Reader(s)
As above, now this one is down to you - if you see a funy picture, link, article, then please send it in - we want to make ArsenalShorts more of a community than us bleating on about what a cock Robbie Keane is. If you send us an email telling us what a cock he is, then thats different. THIS ONE IS DOWN TO YOU READERS.

5. More Competitions/Giveaways
People are often sendiing us email, saying do we want to link to this and that, and we're not just talking about Medication to help you perform in the bedroom and Cisalis (whatever that is, something to do with Butterflies I think) but we'll try and get some good stuff to give away - going for the Arsenal Opus getting an Arsenal Kazoo, but hey, its a start imo. PROMISE (might take a while this one).

6. More Funny Stuff
Remember the old days when ArseOnLine, then ArsenalShorts used to be funny? No, us neither, but there was a time when people used to copy our stuff, left, right and centre, man we were in the Gooner all the time, and links from AWIMB were a daily occurence, and we want them days back. PROMISE and FACT.

7. Much as I'd like to extend this to 10 things, I don't think I can. PROMISE.

All of this above will be done starting tomorrow. Next week might be tricky as I have a week off, but a promise is a promise, just ask Wayne Rooney's Nan.
