Arsenal 1 - 1 Spurs...
In the first leg of the Carling Cup semi-final at the Emirates last night, we were pretty lucky to get away with a draw after a pretty poor performance all round, but with Theo's late equaliser it gives us every chance of meeting Everton or Chelsea in the final. Jermaine Jenas put the scum ahead with a pretty simple finish after they bogtrotting gimp Robbie Keane found himself in acres of space and found Jenas. Then Berbatov went close, but Fabianski was in fine form and kept the score at one. The one handed dog walkers from the lane (can't hold onto a lead) will be ruing their missed chances as they have so many times before as we look ahead to two weeks time at the shithole... Will they bottle it again, you betcha neck they will.

Injury Toll...
The good news to come out of last night's game was the return of Robin Van Persie, however, his comeback was short lived being subbed with an injury. Sir Wenger has said on AFCi re: RVP: "We have to see tomorrow morning [Thursday], is it just scar tissue? Sometimes, you know, when you come back after a long time, is it just a question of two days or is it longer, we'll see that tomorrow. Djourou is a problem we had already at Birmingham so that means for me it came back, a groin problem, you know? Senderos, a little mid-knee ligament he got in the first half, so we'll see..."

AW added: "We have to assess all that, I cannot tell you how long they will be out, it can be one, two days, it can be two weeks. It's difficult to assess tonight. Hoyte, Gilberto, Sagna can play in there, we still have solutions..." Theo Walcott was also subbed after a heavy knock to his ankle... more news as we get it* Stay tuned to Arsenal.com readers, they'll tell ya.

* a lie.

Ex-FM...
The mystery surrounding another youngster has been solved, with Fran Merida being loaned out to Real Sociedad for the remainder of the season...

No Lehmann Deal...
After the game last night, Sir Wenger denied Jens Lehmann was off to Dortmund and said no deal has been done...

Spurs Trip/Manager Revelation...
Ahead of our draw at home with Spurs, their squad took a trip to the capital of Italy this week, Rome. They went to see the Pope for some guidance but once there, the great man told them in no uncertain terms to hit the road. Does anyone know the name of that team we all adore? They play in red and white, and most of the time frankly, they're dynamite? Any road, in other news, Juande Ramos it seems isn't quite the clean cut Spaniard he'd have us beleive, in fact there's stories eminating out of Spain, that his Mother was once a 'lady of the night'... more later on that perhaps.

Still more rumours about Lasagne Diarra going to Newcastle this morning... in light of our injury problems, will this still happen? Only Arsene knows but see here for more...

Birminham next then... bring your boots.
