Willy, Won't We?
Skipper William Gallas has said that we're well up for the rest of the season, and the squad will do everything they can to get some silverware* in the cabinet. Gallas should feature tomorrow for the home game with Birmingham at the Emirates, and said: "The fact we are still top sends a message that we are strong, but we know that Manchester United and also Chelsea are still there also. It will be close all season, but we must realise everything is in our hands. I hope to be back in the team for the Birmingham game, and I think that we will be really fresh for that, having missed the last couple of games. We still have a long way to go this season and I am sure everybody will be ready for it, because we have to be..."

*Spurs fans, look it up - or ask your Grandad about the glory year.

Larsson: I Wasn't Good Enough...
Ex-Arsenal youngster Sebastian Larsson ha said he doesn't regret leaving Asenal for Birmingham, and is happy he was able to be honest with himself and move on: "Many people in Sweden ask me why I failed at Arsenal. I don't see it like that at all. They helped make me the player I am today. I had the option to stay on, but I was not getting first-team football and I ran out of patience. I could not wait any longer. I had to draw a line under it and move on. That was one step in my career. Now this is the next one..."

Nice BBC preview here... one of them that says: Arsenal have only failed to score in 19 meetings between the side and that was in 1911 because all of the players were soldiers in the war or summink...

Short Deal for Lehmann?
Jens Lehmann might still stay at Arsenal despite incessent rumours that he's off back to Germany soon. There have been talks with Dortmund, but it seems Lehmann might hang around until he's a free agent in the summer. Lehmann said: "If I can get my private matters satisfactorily resolved then I could come, otherwise I won't, if I come to Dortmund then it would only be for six months. I want to have complete freedom to decide what I do next in the summer..."

A club statement from Dortmund said: "there are still has a few personal matters to resolve..."

Good News/Bad News...
Robin van Persie isn't badly injured! Yay! But he has flu and will miss the Birmingham game. Booo. Big Phil will have a late test (guessing on his knee, and not an A-Level Maths mock exam) and Walcott looks to be ok and in the squad for the game. Lasagne Diarra will miss the game 'cos he 'can't be arsed to play'. Probably. Djourou and Justin Hoyte are out along with the African lads who are away on International duty...

Cole Enjoyed Emirates Test...
Ashley Cole reckons he enjoyed getting stuffed at the Emirates and denies his two-finger salute to the Emirates faithful: "I really, really enjoyed it, last year they said I didn't go there because I was scared or something stupid like that. So it was good to actually go there and get it out the way. It was of course disappointing about the result but Arsenal have got to come to us and hopefully we can win some points back then..."

Cole was subsequently charged with bring the game into two-finger disrepute, but denies the charge: "I didn't stick my fingers up. The way the picture was taken, it may have looked like that, but I didn't so it was sensible that nothing happened..."
