Nasri - Confusion Reigns...
Samir Nasri's move to Arsenal was once again off last night as the players claims that a deal had been agreed was whipped off of websites quicker than that Jock lady-botherer John Leslie's trousers. Nasri's personal website claimed that the deal was done, but a swift response from Marseille said it wasn't, prompting Sky Sports and others to remove the story post haste.

The deal was said to be around £14m, but the President of Marseille said: “The deal still has to be finalised between Arsenal and Olympique Marseille. Discussions are continuing between the two clubs and the player, nothing has been finalised, no element of the transfer has been finalised and everybody is still talking. It is premature to announce anything at all..."

There were rumours that we were due to sign a Spurs player this week, 'so ArsenalShorts understands', that the club were waiting to announce a double signing this week, still not sure who 'cos they're all shit. However, it's worth making a note that this is made up rubbish, everyone else is doing it so why can't we imo? At least we didn't tempt you in with a bogus headline.

This site reckon it's a done deal and will be announced today (Tuesday)...

Fab for Spain...
Cesc Fabregas scored the winning penalty for Spain as they made it through to the European Championships Quarter Finals, and a tie with Russia. The Russians themselves knocked out RVP's Holland on Saturday night, with potential target Andrei Arshavin starring for the Russians and RVP making little impact for the Dutch. Only real Arsenal involvement in the tournament now remains Germany's Jens Lehmann, and The Cesc for Spain...

Ade-buy-off...?
AC Milan seem to think they have managed to bag themselves a Togonian, in the guise of our very own Emannuel Adebayor. There are lots of rumours that they have bid £23m for the player who has done little to deny the rumours. AW has also been rumoured to be interested in bring Samuel Eto'o to the Emirates after the striker inexplicably said that Spurs were too mid-table for him. Meanwhile Arseblog back some of the story up with quotes... and we quote: "El Mundo says that two of his Arsenal teammates, who prefer to keep their names secret (how convenient), have received a text message from Adebayor saying "I already see myself in Barcelona". They say that since Adebayor learned of Barcelona's interest a couple of weeks ago he made it clear to Arsenal that he wanted to become part of 'the Barcelona family'..."

Happy with Ramsey Choice...
Seems like the Welshers are as happy as they can be following the sale of young Aaron Ramsey to us. Check out this survey, but basically over half of them are happy with his choice. There's nice...

AA to Barcelona...?
Following a frankly amazing performance for Russia against the Dutch on Saturday night, Andrei Arshavin has attracted the attention of pretty much all clubs, everywhere. The player himself however has admitted he wants a move to Barcelona, scuppering any hope of an Arsenal swoop. There's also talk of Spurs being interested in the player (surprise) but the President of Zenit Petersburg has superbly double negatived his way through this:: "Andrei has a dream to play for Barcelona, it is, together with the Russian national team, his favourite team. He could easily play and show all his quality at Barcelona. Andrei doesn't have less quality than players like Deco..."
